Unduk Ngadau Winners 2008

I got this picture from the undukngadau.com site. Benny was there at the very best spots during the much coveted event taking beautiful pictures! I don’t know where else to find such beautiful photos. So I grabbed this. Hehe! Tati Leonie Lawrence Gontuni from Penampang was crowned Unduk Ngadau State Level 2008. Flanking the beauty queen on her right in the picture were 1st Runner Up Tati Florence Masimbin from Kinabatangan and on her left 2nd Runner Up Tati Emily Majil from Tambunan. There rest of the winners were:

4th : Petronella Cherry Bernard [Papar]
5th : Verone Lansu [Keningau]
6th : Aloysia Thecla Philip [Kota Belud]
7th : Anne Mary Tariq Khan [Klang Valley]

Wah! Stacy rindu Pesta Kaamatan di Sabah! This petite but lovable Sabahan local from Penampang just recently won the 6th season of a reality TV show, Akademi Fantasia. Go Sabah! Go Stacy!

Haha! Cute her, she was doing the ‘catwalk’ in this video. The thing I like about her is that she is not like Nadia (FYI, I’m not for Nadia FC or whatever it is). Stacy is stacy. She’s real. Everyone can see that.

Back to who will win the Unduk Ngadau 2008, will it be Miss Kinabatangan or Miss Tuaran? Miss Penampang? Will it be Stacy? Haha! Just kidding. I really do wish Stacy will fly her magic carpet to KDCA. She’s a charm.

This is another video from youtube featuring one of the local dances in Sabah. If you ask me what dance is that, I’d say I’m not sure. Perhaps it’s the ‘mangiluk’ ( do i spell it right?). You tell me what it is.

Tati Tosuau and Tati Topiodo [Unduk Ngadau 2008]

I got this picture from undukngadau.com site – a site featuring Sabahan’s beauties. Two beauties were crowned with Miss Tosuau and Miss Topiodo during the Gala Nite on 29 May 2008. Miss Tosuau goes to Miss Kudat and Miss Topiodo goes to (my favourite pick) Miss Kinabatangan.

I managed to get a glimpse of all the 36 local beauties this morning at Hongkod Koisaan, KDCA Penampang. The ever-so-lovely Miss Tuaran, Dierdre Theseira Joannes, my fellow coursemate, is also another of my favourite pick. She’s a sweet girl, I should say. Beauty goes hand in hand with personality. She got the personality too!

Whatever the result might be tomorrow evening, the event is not all about winning the Unduk Ngadau title alone. Tadau Kaamatan is a celebration of a bountiful harvest, to appreciate what we have.
